Dear supporter,
Los Alamos Family Council is aware of recent public discussions related to our Executive Director, Jordan Redmond. We understand that the situation has caused concern within the community, and we want to provide clarification and reassurance.
A chief role of the Board of Directors is the supervision of the Executive Director as an employee. As such, the Board of Directors and Mr. Redmond have been in close communication related to this matter, and the Board of Directors chose to operate on the presumption of Mr. Redmond’s innocence as we expect Mr. Redmond to do the same with the other employees of Los Alamos Family Council.
When Mr. Redmond notified us that he had been charged, the Board of Directors placed him on administrative leave, allowing him to address the legal matter and to wait for the legal process to move forward. All programs at Los Alamos Family Council continued as normal as our trained professional staff remained committed to the important work we do each day.
The First Judicial District Attorney’s Office has now issued a formal Notice of Dismissal Without Prejudice in this case. This dismissal is a matter of public record.
Los Alamos Family Council remains committed to serving the community with professionalism, care, and transparency. We recognize that public perception is important, and we ask the community to rely on official information when discussing this matter. Our dedication to providing safe, confidential, and trusted services to families and youth has not changed.
We appreciate the continued support of our clients, staff, and partners during this time.
Sincerely,
Jessica Hoffer, Board Chair
